Dogs terrified. Same beast seen by Lewis Brooks and Jack Murphy in same woods not long after, walking on all fours. Seen to pass through fence; bullets did it no harm. (Not clear if this was a Bigfoot-type creature.)
1901	Campbell River area of Vancouver Is., BC	Mike King	Saw 'man-beast' washing roots in water and placing them in neat piles.
14 Jan. 1902	Chesterfield, ID	Several young people	Skaters chased by 8-ft hairy creature with club.
Feb - March 1904	Sixes mining district nr Myrtle Point, OR	William Ward, Mr. Burlison, Mr. Harrison	Miners' cabins shaken by 'wild man'.
Dec. 1904	Nr Horne Lake, Vancouver Is., BC	A.R. Crump, J. Kincaid, T. Hutchins, W. Buss	Hunters in uninhabited area saw young, hairy 'wild man' with 'long matted hair and a beard' who ran off at speed through impenetrable undergrowth; had also been seen by others in past few years.
Between 1900 & 1905	Nr Mt Shasta, CA	An Indian	Bigfeet treated him for snakebite and carried him part-way back to camp.
Sept. 1906	Violet Mine nr Cobalt, Ont.	Group of men	Creature nicknamed 'Yellow Top' because of light-colored mane seen.
March 1907	Bishop's Cove, Vancouver Is., BC	Indians	Villagers scared by hairy 'monkey' which dug clams and howled on beach at night.
May c.1909	Nr Chehalis Indian reserve, BC	Peter Williams	Bigfoot chased witness home and then pushed against walls of wooden house.
c.1910	Mirrow Lake, WI	l0-year-old girl	Followed by man-like furry creature in woods.
c.1911	Northern MN	2 hunters	Followed strange footprints and found 'human giant' with long arms and short, light hair on body; searchers later found nothing.
Autumn 1912	Nr Oakville, WA	Mrs. Callie Lund's mother	Saw tall, ape-like creature looking in at window of lonely farm.
c. 1912	10 miles from Gallipolis, OH	Mother & son	Witnesses berry-picking, followed by 'strange dark cloud' and saw dark, wide-shouldered monster.
c. 1912	Nr Effingham, IL	2 boys	Witnesses' sister recalled the hairy creatures seen near their home from time to time.
c. 1913	Traverspine nr Goose Bay, Labrador	Michelin family	Isolated house often visited by tall, hairy creature(s).
1914	Churchville, MD	Boy (8)	Saw Bigfoot sitting on log behind his home.

c.1915	SE of Wann, OK	Crum King	Saw Bigfoot near house gate.
1917	Cowlitz River, WA	Albert M. Fletcher	Was followed at night; hid behind tree and saw 7-ft Bigfoot.
c.1920	Nulato, AK	Albert Petka	Witness, who lived on his boat, attacked there by a 'bushman;' dogs drove it away but Petka died of injuries.
Nov. 1922	Babylon, Long Island, NY	Several	4-ft 'baboon' seen in woods; known to have lived in vacant house for two weeks, and attacked 13-year-old Willie Erlinger.
July 1923	Nr Cobalt, Ont.	J.A. MacAuley & Lorne Wilson	Prospectors saw Bigfoot in blueberry patch.
July 1924	The Muddy, a branch of the Lewis River, 8 miles from Spirit Lake, WA	Marion Smith, Roy Smith, Fred Beck, Gabe Lefever, John Peterson	Prospectors saw and shot at several Bigfeet; their cabin attacked.
Summer 1924	Nr head of Toba Inlet, BC	Albert Ostman	Camper kidnapped and kept prisoner by Bigfoot.
1924	Nr Flagstaff, AZ	Woman & her mother	Watched Bigfoot in garden take corn and turnips.
June 1925	Nr Alton, MO	Man	Saw from 50 yds a man-like animal covered with brown hair and having a monkey-like face; 2 other sightings. Said to be a hair-covered man, but man interviewed had black hair and wore clothes.
Spring 1926	Nr Goodwater, OK	Doctor	Saw 'the thing' running across lane in the lights of his Model T Ford.
1926	Mountain Fork River, OK	2 hunters	Saw 'manbeast' which later killed their dog.
1926	Yankton, OR	28 people	Many sightings, including one of a Bigfoot running alongside a moving truck and looking in cab.
Sept. 1927	Agassiz, BC	Indian named Point & Adaline August	While walking on railroad track, saw Bigfoot coming towards them.
c. 1927	Nr Salem, NJ	Taxi driver	Bigfoot shook car while witness changed tire.
1928	Conuma River, Vancouver Is., BC	Muchalat Harry	Indian kidnapped and kept prisoner by Bigfeet.
1928	South Bentinck Arm, nr Bella Coola, BC	George Talleo	While trapping, saw and shot at Bigfoot, which fell; witness did not stay. Earlier had found excrement covered by moss.
25 July 1929	Elizabeth, IL	-	'Huge gorilla' seen wandering in woods near town.
1920s	Gambrill State Park, MD	-	Huge hairy creature, the 'Dwayo' or 'Dwayyo,' seen from time to time.
c. 1930	Kwaltwa Kitasu Bay, Swindle Is., BC	Tom Brown	Bigfoot seen in shallows at night; screamed when shot at, but no body to be found next day.
June 1931	Mineola, Long Is., NY	6	4-ft Bigfoot seen briefly by people at nursery; armed police found nothing.

1939	Borrego area, CA	Los Angeles man	Camper approached by several Bigfeet.
Aug. 1939 or 1940	Headwaters of Silver Creek, Harrison Lake, BC	Burns Yeomans & another prospector	Saw 4 or 5 Bigfeet wrestling.
1930s	Nr Priest Lake, ID	Several	Saw Bigfoot kneeling on bench looking in at ranch window; walked away on 2 legs.
1930s	Nr Alert Bay, BC	Ellen Neai	Saw Bigfoot walk along beach and into trees.
1930s	Head of Mosby Creek, nr Cottage Grove, OR	Bob Bailey	Hunter saw Bigfoot.
c.1940	Nr Kaluka, AK	-	Female, black-haired Bigfoot captured and fed on fish; its hair fell out and it died.
Summer 1941	Gum Creek nr Mt Vernon, IL	Revd Lepton Harpole	Struck at Bigfoot with gun barrel; also many other sightings in the area.
Sept. 1941	Ruby Creek, BC	Mrs. Jeannie Chapman & 3 children aged 9, 7 & 5	Bigfoot visited lonely house; adult witness grabbed children and fled to village.
Oct. 1941	Port Douglas at head of Harrison Lake, BC	Many Indians	Fled in canoes after seeing Bigfoot nearly 14 ft tall at their village.
1941	Above Lake Lichtenwaash, WA	-	'Naked man' seen 'leaping from rock to rock on a mountainside'.
Late summer 1942	Todd Lake, OR	Don Hunter, head of Audio Visual Dept at University of Oregon, & Mrs. Hunter	Saw tall figure in meadow; when they got out of car, it strode into woods on 2 legs.
Oct. 1942	Mt Ashland, OR	Red Edwards & Bill Cole	Hunters saw Bigfoot, and one may have been carried by it a short distance.
1942	Alaska coast, probably Wrangell Narrows	Bob Titmus	Witness on board ship saw 'upright ape' on beach.
c.1942	Central Sandwich, NH	c.l4-yr-old boy	6-7-ft 'gorilla-looking' creature followed him for 20 mins as he cut spruce.
1943	DeWilde's Camp nr Ruby, AK	John McQuire	Killed by Bigfoot.
Early 1940s	Nr Coombes, Vancouver Is., BC	Alex Oakes	Bigfoot ran across road in front of witness's car.
April 1946	Nr Gillies Lake, nr Cobalt, Ont.	Woman & son	Saw dark hairy animal with light head in the bush; thought to be 'Yellow Top' (see July 1923).
Spring 1947	Old Highway 99, S of Shasta, CA	Man & wife	Two Bigfeet seen crossing road; one looked in car window.
11 May 1947	Nr Fall River Mills, CA	Mr. & Mrs. Russ Tribble	While fishing, saw 2 smelly Bigfeet walking along river bank eating fish and reeds; left tracks, the longest 17 ½ in.
1947	Piney Ridge, MO	Several hunters	Bigfoot was killing sheep and goats. When hunted, it killed the dogs and overthrew the hunters' jeep.
1947	Grouse Mtn, North Vancouver, BC	Mr. & Mrs. Werner	Driving along logging road, witnesses came upon 2 tall beings, with 'a skin wrapped round them'.
1947	Lakeland, FL	Child (4)	Saw Bigfoot standing under tree near home.
1948	Nr Mobile, AL	5 boys	Saw 11-ft Bigfoot in swamp.
c.1948	Harrison Mills, BC	Henry Charlie	Indian on bicycle chased by Bigfoot, which kept up with him for over a mile.
c.1948	Mad Lake nr Leavenworth, WA	Clarence M. Foster	Saw thin, black-haired, 6-ft Bigfoot squatting on lake shore.
1949	New Hazleton, BC	Frank Luxton	Highway foreman saw 8-ft Bigfoot while driving; it ran into the bush.
1949	Thorntown, IN	Nearly 30 Thorntown residents	'Gorilla' with protruding teeth seen frequently in the area; chased two fishermen.
Late 1940s	Nigger Wool Swamps. S-E MO	-	Gorilla-like animal killed cows and horses; someone shot it. (This may be the same case as Piney Ridge 1947.)
1940s	Jacobsen Bay, 20 miles W of Bella Coola, BC	Clayton Mack, game guide	Saw Bigfoot from boat as it walked along beach and into timber.
1940s	Yukon Territory	-	Witness saw 10-ft Bigfoot and shot at it with 30:06; tracks were 18-22 in long.
c.1950	Nr the Eel River above Eureka, CA	Girl (10)	Walking in a meadow, saw Bigfoot dressed in torn clothes.
