Sept. 1953	Nr Courtenay, Vancouver Is., BC	Jack Twist	At dusk saw 8-ft Bigfoot on road ahead; it moved into forest.
1953	Fouke, AR	-	Probable earliest sighting of 'Fouke Monster'.

c.1956	About 13 miles from Wilberton, OK	Several	Hairy, long-armed Bigfoot seen to walk by pond near house; and seen hanging over neighbor's fence. Writer's sister saw huge, hairy leg while berry-picking.
c.1956	Nr Columbus, GA	-	7-ft, long-haired Bigfoot seen along certain road by numerous witnesses.
Spring 1957	Big Cypress Swamp, FL	2 hunters	As they slept in hammocks, a Bigfoot stood and watched them. They awoke and saw it was tall and dark with glowing eyes. After about 2 mins it walked away.
Autumn 1957	N of San Antonio. TX	Man	Saw Bigfoot 8-9 ft tall and with gray-white hair through telescopic sight as it moved tree limbs near a lake.
Autumn 1957	Wanoga Butte, nr Bend, OR	Gary Joanis & Jim Newall	Joanis shot a deer, which was then stolen by a Bigfoot.
1957	Nr Jackson, TN	James M. Meacham (15)	Witness shot repeatedly without effect at small ape.
12 Oct. 1958	Bluff Creek, CA	Ray Kerr & Leslie Brezeale	From pickup truck, saw Bigfoot cross road in 2 strides at night.
17 Oct. 1958	Bluff Creek, CA	George Smith	Saw 8-ft Bigfoot cross road.
8 Nov. 1958	North Main Street nr Riverside, CA	Charles Wetzel	Creature, scaly 'like leaves', leapt at witness's car and fell back gurgling as he drove on. It had a round head, long arms, a protuberant mouth, and shining eyes. Scratches found on the windshield.
Dec 1958	Bella Coola Valley, BC	George Robson & Bert Solhjell	Hunters saw 7-ft Bigfoot watching them; ran off when they stared at it.
c.1958	Nr New Hazelton, BC	2 women	Bigfoot crossed road in front of witnesses' car.
Feb. 1959	Cincinnati, OH	Trucker	Saw a 'hulking creature' climb out of the Ohio River on a cold, windy night.
Feb. 1959	Covington, KY	Motorist	Saw large, 2-legged creature on a bridge.
March 1959	Aristazabal Is., BC	Lawrence Hopkins	Saw strong-smelling Bigfoot in brush.
June 1959	Between Weed & MacDoel, CA	-	While parked, witness heard walking noise and turned on lights, to see Bigfoot.
Sept. 1959	Clapps Chapel Road, nr Knoxville, TN	Earl Taylor & John Rosenbaum	Fired at Bigfoot which came up to house.
Sept. 1959	Hidden Lake, nr Enderby, BC	Mrs. Bellvue	While collecting wood at dusk for campfire, saw 6-ft Bigfoot watching her.
Oct. 1959	Ten Mile nr Roseburg, OR	Wayne Johnson & Walter Stork	Boys shot at and hit Bigfoot, but no corpse found.
1959	Carroll County, MD	Policeman	Saw Bigfoot cross road and step over fence; yelled 'Halt!' Bigfoot walked towards him so he fired at it but it kept coming. Drove away fast.
1959	Wind River, WA	Deputy Sheriff of The Dalles Sheriffs Dept	Saw Bigfoot coming through trees as he was fishing; it saw him and turned away.
1959	Nr Seeley Lake, MT	R.W. Rye, game guide	Bear hunter saw Bigfoot but did not shoot it.
C. 1959	Pottawatomie Indian Reserve, KS	Man	Saw 'real hairy man' standing beside house, so drove across lawn and ditch to escape.

30 Dec. 1960	Nr Hickory Flats, WV	Charles Stover	Bakery truck driver saw 6-ft Bigfoot on road late at night, standing watching him.
1960	Oroville area, CA	Leonard Mack	Saw Bigfoot near a spring.
1960	Hoopa area, CA	Leroy Dolittle	Saw Bigfoot standing in meadow.
1960	Northern CA	President of a Portland company on a fishing trip	Saw Bigfoot in pine trees 30 yds away; it walked off. His fishing companion felt he was being watched.
c. 1960	Conser Lake nr Albany, OR	-	Many sightings of 7-8-ft Bigfoot with shaggy white hair. Once kept pace with truck travelling at 35 mph.
Winter, c.1960	Watson Bay, Roderick Is., BC	Timothy Robinson & Samson Duncan	Shot at small Bigfoot on beach and found blood on snow where it had been, but were afraid to follow the creature.
Early 1960s	Nr Orchard, WA	Lopez	On foggy night, drove round 8-9-ft black Bigfoot with flat face and no neck.
