Feb. 1876	10 miles E of Warner's Ranch	Turner Helm	Prospector saw and spoke to Bigfoot, which did not reply.
Early 1880s	Nr Happy Camp, Siskiyou County	Jack Dover	Hunter saw 7-ft 'wild man' picking berries or shoots.
1882	Owens Valley	Several, including John Clarke, Paul Myrtengreen & Jack Ferral	Many reports of large, shaggy beast roaming the foothills of Round Valley Clarke came upon it asleep and tried to lasso it, but it ran off yelling. Myrtengreen fainted when he saw it coming towards him. Ferral hunted it and on 25 March came upon it feeding. He fired five bullets into it, but it came for him. His horse broke two legs in its mad escape and Ferral was bruised.
Summer 1897	Nr Tulelake	An Indian	Bigfoot took fish offered by witness.
Between 1900 & 1905	Nr Mt Shasta	An Indian	Bigfeet treated him for snakebite and carried him part-way back to camp.
1939	Borrego area	Los Angeles man	Camper approached by several Bigfeet.
Spring 1947	Old Highway 99, S of Shasta	Man & wife	Two Bigfeet seen crossing road; one looked in car window.
11 May 1947	Nr Fall River Mills	Mr. & Mrs. Russ Tribble	While fishing, saw 2 smelly Bigfeet walking along river bank eating fish and reeds; left tracks, the longest 17½in.
c.1950	Nr the Eel River above Eureka	Girl (10)	Walking in a meadow, saw Bigfoot dressed in torn clothes.
1952	Nr Orleans	Man	Had hair-raising encounter with Bigfoot while driving through forest on a rainy night.
1952 or 1953	Nr Lewiston	Logging mechanic	Bigfoot with glowing red eyes watched him grease tractor.
12 Oct. 1958	Bluff Creek	Ray Kerr & Leslie Brezeale	From pickup truck, saw Bigfoot cross road in 2 strides at night.
17 Oct. 1958	Bluff Creek	George Smith	Saw 8-ft Bigfoot cross road.
8 Nov. 1958	North Main Street nr Riverside	Charles Wetzel	Creature, scaly 'like leaves', leapt at witness's car and fell back gurgling as he drove on. It had a round head, long arms, a protuberant mouth, and shining eyes. Scratches found on the windshield.
June 1959	Between Weed & MacDoel	-	While parked, witness heard walking noise and turned on lights, to see Bigfoot.
1960	Oroville area	Leonard Mack	Saw Bigfoot near a spring .
1960	Hoopa area	Leroy Dolittle	Saw Bigfoot standing in meadow.
1960	Northern	President of a Portland company on a fishing trip	Saw Bigfoot in pine trees 30 yds away; it walked off. His fishing companion felt he was being watched.
Early 1960s	Nr Orleans	Benjamin Wilder	Saw Bigfoot at night.
June 1962	Nr Fort Bragg	Robert Hatfield & Bud Jenkins	Bigfoot made 11-in handprint on house wall and 16-in 5-toed footprints near house.
10 Aug. 1962	Siskayou County	Joseph Wattenbarger	While driving in daylight, saw 8-ft dirty silver Bigfoot with flat face.
27 Jan. 1963	Cold Springs, off the Sonora Highway	Man	Phoned Sheriffs Dept to report Bigfoot; Sheriff and deputy went and heard horrible screams in woods.
28 Feb. 1963	Nr Confidence, nr Sonora	Lennart Strand & Alden Hoover	Pilots saw 10-ft, cinnamon-brown creature on the ground, 'half bear, half gorilla'; took photographs which were blurred.

17 Aug. 1975	Corona	James Mihalko, Emest Palmeira, & two teenagers	Saw 10-ft Bigfoot with red eyes and black shaggy hair in citrus grove in powerful spotlight.
Summer 1975	Sequoia National Park	John Clark	While camping saw a 9-ft Bigfoot either covered with long blond hair or wearing something that gave such an appearance.
3 Sept. 1975	Oroville	Mark Karr	Saw 6-7-ft Bigfoot with long arms in early morning while driving; sighting caused him to run into tree.
Nov. 1975	Pine Grove	Rick van Deli (14) & Joe Coughlin (13)	Saw Bigfoot twice within weeks.
1975	Nr Saugus	Man	Top half of Bigfoot holding small animal seen briefly in flashing light of advertising sign.

23 March 1976	Mill Valley	Police patrolmen Dan Murphy & Edward Johnson	Heard screaming and growling noises in the brush, and by flashlight saw 'large, dark-colored thing' walking upright. It climbed an 8-ft wall. Next day a dead deer was found.

30 May 1979	US 395 nr Bridgeport	Bill Iffttiger	Truck driver saw 8-ft Bigfoot dash across road.
June 1979	Lancaster	Mrs. Shirley DeWolfe & family	Four witnesses saw large hairy creature 7-8 ft tall striding along 140th Street East; similar creature seen in same place a few years earlier.
9 June 1980	Scotts Valley	Dave Wilhelm & Ben Lawson	On campsite noticed garbage smell, heard loud footsteps and heavy breathing, saw 12-ft creature in car headlights; next day found footprints.
3 Sept. 1980	Lake Hughes, nr Palmdale	Clyde Williams	Driver saw black, hairy Bigfoot with whitish hair around shoulders and human-like face; it ran in front of car, then up mountainside.
